Scottish Woodlands has been shortlisted in two categories in a leading recruitment awards programme.

The two nominations in the s1jobs Recruitment Awards are for HR (Human Resources) Team of the Year and Best Early Careers Employer.

The Early Careers nomination recognises Scottish Woodlands’ renowned and industry-leading Graduate Development Programme.

The HR Team shortlisting recognises the work of Lynne Macdonald, Human Resources Manager; Jude Alexander – Human Resources Advisor; Alicia Glasgow – Receptionist/Secretary; and Lynne Paterson – Receptionist/HR Administrator.

The awards will be presented on the evening of Thursday 14th April at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow - hosted by comedian and presenter Jo Brand.

Ralland Browne, Managing Director of Scottish Woodlands Ltd, said:

“As a business 80% owned by its employees, Scottish Woodlands Ltd has always made looking after its people a top priority. I am delighted that this has been recognised by the shortlisting in these important industry awards. The shortlisting highlights the excellence and hard work of our HR team and the huge efforts we have made to ensure our Graduate Development Programme is recognised for its high quality across the forestry and wood industry."

Scottish Woodlands Ltd is taking on another eight graduates this year as part of its 'grow your own' policy to develop the best young talent in the forestry industry.

Mr Browne added: “I wish our team the very best and I’m sure they will have a great night. It is very important for team-building and morale to ensure Scottish Woodlands staff can enjoy social occasions like this.”
