South-West Region Everesting Challenge

South-West Region Everesting Challenge

On Friday 14th August, the team in South-West Scotland is going to be climbing Mount Everest together in support of our chosen charity this year, Marie Curie.

Unfortunately, a risk assessment for a high-altitude trip to the Himalayas isn’t possible on the contract generator, so the team has settled on the natural second option: the Galloway hills. So, undeterred, as a team, they are going to be ascending the equivalent elevation of Mount Everest together. This, still, is no mean feat – they’ll be crossing track, bog, and high mountain path on the mighty Cairnsmore of Carsphairn (797m!) to ensure they reach the collective goal to reach the dizzy total altitude of 8,848m.

They'd have a spring in their step if you can send some words of encouragement to help them on their way! Of course, making a small donation to Marie Curie would be appreciated too – the link to do this is here.

Many thanks for your support.
