2027 Graduate Development Programme opens
Scottish Woodlands has opened applications to its Graduate Development Programme for 2027 entrants.
The industry-leading programme was launched in 2017 and has already welcomed more than 70 young graduates into the business. It offers practical, hands-on, up-to-date training so graduates hit the ground running after their two years of training.
The latest graduation ceremony included graduates from RTS Forestry, which joined the Scottish Woodlands group in 2024, for the first time.
Scottish Woodlands Managing Director Ian Robinson said: "We launched the programme to tackle skill shortages in the industry, and we have been delighted by the results."
“We have welcomed some fantastic talent into the business, and many of our graduates have progressed quickly through the company, - including Jillian Kennedy, who has won two major real awards this year."
Jillian was named Rural Rising Star at Scottish Land and Estates Helping It Happen Awards in October, and Future Leader of the Forestry Industry at the Confor awards in March.
If you are interested in applying for the scheme, follow this link to apply to join the best graduate development programme in the business. The deadline is 5th February 2027. You do not need a forestry degree - entries are accepted from young people with a wide range of qualifications.
