Annual Forest Industry Mountain Bike Challenge

The Scottish Woodlands contingent for the race comprised (from left to right), Rory MacPherson and Daniel Taylor (Castle Douglas) and Russel Walsh (St Boswells).

The event comprised of 6 timed downhill stages, making use of the purpose-built trails around the forest, with fun sections of berms and jumps and plenty of pedal sections thrown in to push heart rates to the limit.

A total of 11 teams from around the UK took part in the challenge, combining a good day of racing with the opportunity to network with other foresters. At the end of a long but enjoyable day, the Scottish Woodlands team took both 1st place and the fastest individual time of the day going to Daniel.
The Team would like to thank everyone who supported them, all money raised went to Diabetes UK.
