Back to the Royal Highland Show
People attending the Royal Highland Show 2025 have been urged to come and talk to experts from Scottish Woodlands at the biggest event in Scotland's agricultural calendar.
Scottish Woodlands is again sponsoring the show's busy Forestry Arena - and has produced a short video here to promote its presence.
The Forestry Arena will feature a range of exciting activities, including pole climbing, chainsaw carving, axe throwing and motorcycle stunt displays.
The pole climbing sees two people racing to the top of 30-metre-high tree trunks using specially-designed equipment.
Scottish Woodlands supplied the Douglas Fir poles from Kirkennan Estate, south of Dalbeattie in Dumfries & Galloway, to the Highland Showground at Ingliston, near Edinburgh Airport.
Staff from Scottish Woodlands Ltd will take part in the pole climbing, while other SWL staff will try their hand at axe throwing. Outside the ring, they will be sharing their expertise with visitors.
In the video, Emma Menmuir of Scottish Woodlands says: "Our experts are at the show every day to talk to you - about planting or felling trees, selling timber, forestry investment, carbon credits, peatland restoration - you name it, we know about it!"
Scottish Woodlands Ltd is at the show every day, from Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd June - at stand 329A on 4th Avenue.
David Robertson, SWL's Director of Investment and Business Development, said: "It's really important for us to be at the Royal Highland Show to meet people involved in the rural sector - and have some really rounded discussions and conversations. It's also great fun!"
The company has published its summer newsletter, packed with information about its people and its work, which is being shared with visitors to the show.
