New film showcases Scottish Woodlands at major conference

Scottish Woodlands has produced a new short film to showcase its commitment to the highest professional forestry standards.

The video was shown for the first time today (Tuesday 25th April) at the Institute of Chartered Foresters annual conference in Birmingham.

Scottish Woodlands Ltd is a sponsor of the two-day conference, called Connecting Trees, Farmers and Foresters.

David Robertson, Investment and Business Development Director for Scottish Woodlands Ltd, who is attending the conference, said: "The film talks about the deep roots that Scottish Woodlands has put down in rural Scotland."

"It also describes our total commitment to our clients and our employees, and to our environment and economy."

The film also highlights the company's commitment to developing new talent, with video clips of employees who have been through Scottish Woodlands' industry-leading Graduate Development Programme.

Mr Robertson added: "40% of our forest managers have come through our graduate programme and as the film says, this is very important to Scottish Woodlands as a business. We are committed to training new recruits to the highest professional standards and as such, we are delighted that this video has had its first showing at a conference devoted to professionalism in our industry.”
