Office Administrator - Melrose

We are currently looking to recruit a full-time, experienced Office Administrator into our busy Melrose Office, working closely with colleagues to provide a professional administrative service to our Technical staff. This is a varied role in which adaptability to change and flexibility is essential.  You should not only be able to come in and hit the ground running, but have a  proactive and upbeat work ethic.  You should be confident to work on your own and have the initiative to provide a strong support to the daily running of the office.  The main duties include: -

  • Timber processing
  • Client invoices, managing finance queries, generating contractor payments
  • Budget reporting, debt monitoring and producing financial summaries
  • Processing relevant other accounting procedures
  • Administrative support to staff at Melrose
  • Maintain the office environment to high standards
  • Updating and maintaining paper and electronic records using inhouse systems, specifically Capacity
  • Support for Management with basic duties such as copying, laminating, report writing and formatting
  • Maintaining a sporting Leases
  • Other adhoc admin duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrable experience in an administrative role ideally in a similar or related industry; have experience of financial/accounting processing and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.  You will have strong interpersonal skills and will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills at all levels and will be able to manage and prioritise a varied administrative workload. You will be professional, confident and flexible in your approach to work, able to work to tight deadlines, be self-motivated and must be able to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.  Being commercially aware, decisive and having the ability to grow with role is also essential.
